I recently attended the funeral of a relative in a beautiful church in a resort town. The funeral was well attended and flowering, tearful eulogies were given by family members and friends. After music, singing, and prayers were said and the service was winding down, the preacher suddenly says out of the blue, “There’s so much hate in the world. Look at the mass shooting in New Zealand at a church. Reject hate in all forms. Reject racism. Reject sexism. Reject xenophobia and discrimination of all forms.” It went on. I was shocked. I tuned out after he said sexism. There’s no place for these comments at a memorial service.
I suddenly imagined we were at the Oscars listening to a #metoo actor’s acceptance speech or McCain’s funeral or just watching The View. That wasn’t the place to lecture the people who came to show respect for the deceased. We didn’t go to the funeral to hear his opinions on what he thinks of the world. It was inappropriate and sounded like a feminist’s talking points. He wouldn’t say that at a wedding. So he should keep those thoughts to himself. It’s okay to be said at his next Sunday service to his members but not at a memorial service filled with people from all over. And why bring up such negative thoughts at the end of a beautiful service where grieving loved ones spoke endearingly about their friend, relative, or mentor?
Can’t we go anywhere to escape politics these days? Not even in a church? So thoughtless.
I’m beginning to think so. From Hillary getting a pass from the FBI to celebrities bypassing the strict admission requirements into ivy league colleges, do the rich and famous have a different set of rules to abide by? It’s a rhetorical question.
The rest of us are getting tired of the way they slip by the law and rules to get what they want. When they have all the money in the world, do they think they are entitled to give their children the best that money can buy even though their children didn’t do the hard work that goes along with what the ivy league school requires? Apparently, yes. Similarly, do the rich and famous think they can skirt the government rules and set up a private server in their home to conduct shady pay for play business on the side?
This university scandal may be bigger than first thought. It may include athletes’ children, team owners’ children, and politicians’ children. How did Chelshi get into Stanford, I wonder? How did Obama’s daughter get into Harvard? Should we abolish the legacy and the purchase of a campus building to get a student admitted? It’s not fair to the other students who don’t have the money or the name to have to compete with these kids.
When the rich and famous discover their kids aren’t going to get into the college they want them to, do they have a conversation that goes like this, “We’ll just have to give the school a large donation and see if that helps little Janie get in,” or do they say, “Let’s hire a college admissions counselor to pull some strings to help our child get in.” Maybe they start out thinking this is legally allowed but when the college admission counselor calls to say we need about $50,000 more to get your girl in and proof of her being part of a sports team, do they think this sounds fishy? When the counselor asks for a head shot of their daughter to photoshop over another athlete’s picture, does this give them pause?
I don’t know what mitigating circumstances these parents will come up with, but I doubt if it will be good enough for us to believe. All I do know is they hold themselves to a higher standard than the rest of us. They think they are deserving of more just like when they go to the Oscars to get awarded for doing their jobs. No one else gets awards for doing their job well. It’s a false sense of appreciation that they have become accustomed to which has led them into breaking the law.
Has the media been told to stand down on this story, as I see less and less of it being reported. What other prominent parent has turned up on the college admission scandal list? Hmm. Or are the media still trying to find a way to blame Trump for these parents? Notice how the media has already blamed Trump for one nut in New Zealand. Clearly whenever something goes wrong in the world, they will try to blame Trump for it. They never blamed Obama or Bernie for the congressional baseball shootings.
Let’s send these parents a message by punishing them to the fullest the law allows so this favoritism will come to an immediate halt. Let’s level the playing field for all the students to give them a fair shot at entering college.
Yesterday’s university scandal was commented on by all the usual suspects except Hollywood. I guess when it’s one of their own, they clam up. I suspect that they are looking for an angle to blame Trump for the dirty deeds of these rich elitist parents, coaches, and executives. They’re probably scouring through Ivanka’s college application at this minute or seeing if Singer owns a MAGA hat. They will look for a conservative scapegoat, no doubt. New York Times already downplayed the scandal as parents have to resort to cheating in order to get their children into college–blaming it on the colleges.
One by one these Hollywood elites from Smollett to Huffman are getting exposed for who they really are. “Do as I say, not as I do” is their mantra. Imagine the example these parents have set for their children. “As long as you can cheat your way through life and not get caught, you will reap bountiful rewards.” Also it gave them bragging rights at Hollywood parties about what college their little angels got accepted to.
I notice Hollywood rewards felons in the recent movies they make too. They used to have the criminals getting caught in the end leaving the audience feeling good. Now they have the criminal getting caught, destroying evidence (Hillary), serving no time, and writing a bestselling book on their crime. Crime isn’t supposed to pay. But in recent years of Comey, McCabe, Hillary, Michelle, and soon to be Cohen having bestsellers, it is paying. This sets another bad example for potential felons. One of the coaches involved in this scandal is a family friend of the Obamas. Birds of a feather thinking they are above the law again.
The Huffman actor was a champion for women’s empowerment for her daughters as well as an outspoken critic of Trump saying he has no character. Kettle calling the kettle black again. I guess her daughters weren’t smart enough for the elite liberal education she wanted them to have, so she resorted to cheating. Her husband is well aware of what she was involved in. He’s not stupid.
This bribery scandal caused potential students (who worked hard for good grades and studied for the SATs) to be overlooked. Now I’m wondering how many more parents are gaming the system by cheating and bribing. This may be just the tip of the iceberg. And if these parents and coaches get off with a slap on the wrist, we should all be outraged.
This current bribery sting in universities brings me back to when my youngest son was in high school. He’d always been “first pick” on basketball teams since 4th grade–known for his steals and lay up shots. But once he made varsity high school team, things started to change. He was bench warming for most of the game while less talented players stayed in while our team was losing. It didn’t make sense at first. Then I noticed the coach was wearing new suits to every game and then the gym received electric bleachers from an “unnamed donor. ”
When my son was put in the game, he would score immediately, but parents yelled at the coach to put their son back in and my son was remarkably pulled. It was getting pretty obvious that something more sinister was going on; but I wasn’t born yesterday and knew it was politics at play. Why would you take out a player that just scored three baskets? I remained quiet. One parent told me some kids were instructed to hurt my son during one of the practices so he’d be on the injury list. They did. They injured his thigh by fouling him aggressively. But he was only out for one game.
As the season was coming to an end, my son saw the writing on the wall and chose to take an after school job rather than waste one more day on a coach that didn’t appreciate his talent. Then the coach called home to chew him out after school. I took the call and read him the riot act, finally. He had the nerve to say, “No one quits my team!”
He finally admitted he was controlled by some of the parents. “Controlled” was code word for bribed. I told him he should be ashamed of himself and that my son will not be coming to the phone to take any more of his verbal abuse. I should have reported him to the principal but sometimes I let karma take over. He knows who he is and what he did.
Once parents realize they can get away with bribing in high school, they’ll bribe their way into elitist universities and even sports teams.
If there’s any silver lining to my story, the kid whose father bought the school electric bleachers and sucked at basketball turned into an alcoholic while my son graduated cum laude from college then put himself through law school at night. Sometimes doing well without the intervention of your parents is the best policy in the long run. “Builds constitution” my mother always said.
Bribing teachers and coaches at any level is unethical if not illegal. It isn’t a practice of rich and famous parents. It’s a practice of parents without integrity that think they are above the law or more deserving. And a teacher, professor, coach, or administrator that accepts a bribe has committed fraud.
These celebrities who paid for good SAT scores and bribed coaches should be behind bars as well as the coaches and teachers involved. They should lose their teaching credentials. This has to stop. I’m just glad it’s finally being exposed. Now maybe high school administrations will start examining more closely the coaches they’ve hired and nip this in the bud before it becomes standard practice.
The children are having a food fight and there are no adults in the room. When will the Republicans join together and get control of the crazy things the left is getting away with? From the Cohen hearing that smokescreened an important peace-seeking meeting overseas to a weak response to an anti-Semite in the House, it looks like the Republicans are kowtowing to all these charades rather that standing up for themselves. They should have refused a hearing with Cohen on that day and refused a watered-down bill that didn’t point out the anti-Semitism coming from one member’s mouth. The double standard is rich.
Where are all the adults in the room? Where’s former Republicans in power to support our president and the few members of congress that do speak out like Graham, Cruz, and Jim Jordan? They need your help. What is everyone afraid of? The Clinton Machine?
We’ve got Bernie out there lying daily about Trump while we remain silent. The young folks have all been brainwashed in college some even saying they’ll vote for Bernie or Cory Booker while we remain silent. We’ve got the DNC refusing to let FOX news hold one debate with the Democrats while we remain silent. The Angry Ones are ruling the country right now while we remain silent. The left is turning into the party of anti-Israel and Jews right before our eyes while we remain silent.
Can George Bush swallow his pride and make a public announcement against what the crazy left and media are doing right now to our country? Can’t he see what is going on and doesn’t it upset him? Or does he think Trump deserves all this angst? Trump isn’t causing it.
We need the likes of Bush and others to speak out against hate, suppression of free speech of conservatives, fake political hate crimes, fake voter suppression, anti-Semite members of congress, political witch hunt by the left, Mueller’s phony investigation, the two-tier justice system, and fake news media. But they remain silent.
We know he didn’t stand up for himself when they came for him, but now we’re looking at the result. They did it before and think they can get away with it again. They are like children that need discipline and boundaries. It’s never too late to stand up and be heard, George Bush. We would welcome it. You will never have done anything more important in your career if you came out against all these crazy actions by the left and showed your support of the president. Maybe Cheney should speak out or others that were in your cabinet. We’ll welcome any of them. Thank goodness for the few Republicans we do have like Huckabee, Graham, Jordan, and Cruz. But they were never president. Your voice would hold more weight especially with the brainwashed left. Believe it or not, the left are like fish. A fish swims in water and all they know is water. They think everyone else swims in water.
What are you afraid of DNC? Are you afraid that FOX will ask tough questions of your candidates like Trump had to endure from CNN during his debate with Hillary? While Hillary got fawning questions about her grandchild, Trump endured relentless questions about fondling women, insulting the handicapped, and inciting violence and many more. Trump also endured ridiculing remarks about him being a comic book character candidate during his primary. As I recall, FOX didn’t host a primary debate of the Dems last time around. Otherwise, Hillary would have been taken to task for all her dirty shenanigans. This just shows they have something to hide.
The RNC never tried to protect their candidates by rejecting all the fake news networks from CNBC, to CNN, and NBC. The candidates dealt with all the incoming missiles that came for them. Once Ted Cruz complained that the democrats’ debate sounded more like a debate between the Bolsheviks and the Mensheviks. He also scolded them that the GOP candidates weren’t in a cage fight. But the poor little snowflake Dems can’t stand up for themselves. This is a good test for them. If they can’t stand up for themselves, they won’t stand up for their country. (Obama).

This proves that they aren’t running on anything except climate change and RESIST Trump with a little racism thrown in. When asked serious questions about the economy and security of our country, we’ll hear crickets or lies about how Trump inherited a great economy from Obama and that there’s a manufactured crisis at our borders. So, therefore, only allow fawning fake news networks ask them questions. We’ll be sure not to tune into those debates as they are always fixed by the moderators with questions being fed to their favs ahead of time. (Donna Brazil and Hillary.)
FYI, DNC, Chris Wallace is a Democrat and is an equal opportunity tough moderator. And we all know Meghan Kelly was a Democrat as she tore into Trump then moved on to NBC. Think about the people. They want to hear a “fair and balanced” debate. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be very afraid. You’ll be treated fairly by the FOX. 😉
For two years we thought the Trump Haters were filled with hate or just plain gullible. But after listening to the founder of #walkaway on Levine’s show, we see behind the curtain what they really felt. This founder admits he was brainwashed by the Obama-coddling left media via the internet and fake news to believe all the propaganda against Trump and all the fawning news of Obama for eight years.
We understand some people believe everything they read or see on the news, but this guy had hate for FOX News–wouldn’t even turn it on to get an opposing opinion. Many folks are like him. When Trump won, he cried for days and went on Facebook asking his liberal friends ‘how could this happen?’ Much like our Democrat friends did and all the main stream media. He had heard Trump had no chance of winning.
No one answered him except one older female conservative that he hadn’t de-friended yet. She explained to him how the fake news had targeted Trump and turned everything he ever said at a rally against him. He finally started comparing the news channels and realizing how they bury positive news or highlight one part of the segment that fits their narrative against Trump over and over until the followers believe it–which was what he had done for years. Now he is being open-minded to the other side. Before he was led to believe Trump was a racist, xenophobic, homophobic, womanizer.
Suddenly a light went on and he had an epiphany. So it wasn’t hatred or being gullible--just being brainwashed. Now he compares all the news and can see right through the left media’s agenda: take down Trump. And he can see how the Trump supporters (deplorables) are being physically and verbally attacked, much like gays and African-Americans once were, which angers him too. He had the capacity to understand Trump’s comment on the Charlottesville protest that there were good people on both sides, people who wanted the statues removed and people who wanted them to stay. It was never anything to do with the KKK like the fake news reported and keeps regurgitating. Deplorables are the new target of hate. We should have a “deplorable pride parade.”
This guy believed that Obama had done no wrong in eight years. He believed this because that’s what the fake news had told him as well as Facebook and the New York Times. And his friends had told him FOX news was FAUX news for years. When a fish swims in water, all he knows is water. Similarly, when a person watches MSNBC, all he knows is what they tell him.
It was obvious from the get-go from the campaign and the debates that THE FIX was in against Trump. They ganged up on him from the first debate on. Then when he won the general, they pulled out all the stops from the Hollywood Access tape to Stormy Daniels. These low-lifes were paid to come out of the woodwork to take out Trump in the eleventh hour.
Trump had gone from hero to zero the minute he said he was running as a REPUBLICAN. Conversely, if he ran as a Democrat he would have been swooned over and beloved from the get-go. It was never about the hate for Trump. It was the hate for Republicans in power, and they feared Trump had the secret sauce to win. A person can’t go from a beloved icon to reprobate in such short time and they had protected Obama for years, so it wasn’t much of a stretch to see they were lying about Trump from the beginning.
This founder of a “walk away from the left” movement has made a complete one-eighty. We just wish the rest of the brainwashed folks could see the light as well and “run away” from the left.
A utopia where no one works; there are no laws, no government, no money, no transportation, no books, no past, no future, no children, no weapons, no cattle, no fire, and no emotions. But there’s clean air, clean water, fruit-bearing trees, lush landscaping, gender neutrality–all wearing dresses, and no one lives past age thirty. Why? They (the Elois) arethe cattle controlled by the Morlocks who went underground during a world war and turned cannibalistic.
These Elois think they are “living the dream” like the Green New Deal promises: sitting by a river sunning themselves and eating grapes. No skin cancer, no cell phones, no diseases, no worries.

Careful what you wish for. The Eloi’s utopia was the result of a World War that lasted three hundred years destroying all the air, water, food, and structures on our planet. It took to year 802,000 for the planet to come back to life. This disaster from war is what Trump is actually trying to avoid.
World war is much more threatening than a storm, melting icebergs, hurricanes, or drought. In fact, California’s drought, that they are always ballyhooing about, is over. They are experiencing flooding like they did twenty-five years ago. History repeating itself–not climate change. Moral is: Don’t build or buy homes too close to rivers, Russian River. Or at least improve your drainage system, city and county.
But the Green New Deal warns of climate change being our country’s biggest threat. This isn’t true. World warsare. We don’t want an enemy with a nuclear bomb to attack us. This is what Trump is trying to avoid. Denuking is the name of the game. Not partial denuking. Not possible denuking (Obama). Complete denuking. It only takes one nuclear bomb to destroy us. And there are a lot of nuts out there with nukes.
Although these futuristic pipe dreams of utopia are like a siren call to the young minds of students, they need to study the history of weather and stop relying on scientific predictions. Models can’t predict everything. Life does. If past is prologue, weather changes with time; and how egocentric is our generation to think that we are affecting the climate drastically with fossil fuels when we are just a speck of sand in the centuries that earth has been around? Pretty egocentric.
So, when most of the presidential candidates are running on climate change as well as gender neutrality, or the #metoo movement, think about the fake utopia that the Green New Deal (GND) promises. We don’t want to end up a lazy society that gets handouts from the government (socialism) and that has a box for an X on our driver’s license where it asks “M, F, or X.” X meaning no gender. And we wouldn’t need a driver’s license anyhow, if cars are outlawed. No one will need an ID at all in a GND country. Everything is free, money is not needed. Just get in line for your next meal like the Elois and hope you’re not on the menu.
We are self-sufficient, independent-thinking people with a sex, not gender-neutral like the men in The Time Machine. They were weak, asexual males, wearing sundresses. That’s not a world we want to live in, but H. G. Wells was good at predicting the future. And this is a prediction we don’t want to come to fruition, bountiful fruit trees notwithstanding.
So reject the preposterous Green New Deal and gender neutrality or you’ll end up in a world of lazy, asexual Elois being controlled by the Morlocks, metaphorically speaking.
Everything I see and hear in the news lately is becoming increasingly disturbing. Leaders of Israel and Canada under investigation; an immature millennial running the House; Cohen being used by the left to threaten the outcome of 2020 election; disgraceful accusations of our president during a televised hearing; the word racist being used over and over; companies being shamed out of cities for being successful; fake racial tensions; politicians insulting our country overseas; Americans ignoring peace efforts of Trump in NOKO; Hollywood protecting a political hate-crime suspect; Hollywood calling conservatives envious of them; the Democrats threatening impeachment of Trump.
America is flipping upside down right now and no one says a thing about it. There should be outrage! We shouldn’t have to take this nonsense, but we do.
Why does the House put up with a mere child pushing them around? Why do they kowtow to the foul-mouthed new minorities in the House? What are they so afraid of? Why are they turning socialist right before our eyes? They shouldn’t have to put up with this, but they do. It makes the leaders of the House look weak. It’s hard to watch.
Cohen’s written speeches during his testimony said it all. He basically repeated all the left’s talking points (lies) about Trump from racist to con man to building his brand. All Democratic lies about him. He’s being controlled by the left. How much are they paying him to spread lies about Trump? Or has someone threatened his family? He claims he’s afraid of Trump’s threats? That’s a lie too as it is the Clinton machine that carries out threats. Cohen is just another Balsey-Ford or Smollett for the left. They are using him.
For him/they to say that if Trump loses the next election there will not be a peaceful transition is the kettle calling the kettle black. We haven’t had peace since Hillary lost. She’s still behind the insurance plan and part of the deep state. She orchestrated, along with Obama and the FBI, the Mueller investigation over Russian collusion. Yet she was the one that colluded with Russia. She’s behind all the protests in the streets since Trump won the election. They look for reasons to go to the street. The last protest was against his national emergency at the border. Trump will not have a smooth transition? Kettle black much?
Wake up America! We’re heading for a concussion if we don’t right ourselves. It starts in our country and spreads to others. Look at Israel, Canada, and England. They hear we are trying to impeach; they figure they can do the same. We need to set a good example and stand up to the crazies on the left. They are all looking increasingly crazy. They have never accepted Trump and will do anything to oust him. They are hoping it comes before the next election because they have nothing to run on besides socialism, hate for Trump, and racism which are all ridiculous. They are desperate. We shouldn’t have to put up with this, but we do.
Stand up America. Stand up to the loons on the left by refuting their lies. Speak out. Don’t be afraid of their response. Otherwise, the more they repeat their lies, the more they will be believed. Let’s get off our heads and back onto our feet where we can think clearly again.
We learned that Trump is not an angel. If we wanted an angel to be our candidate, Huckabee would have won. We voted for the toughest candidate that could stand up for himself and bring our country back, not a choir boy.
What else did we learn: Did Trump ever have affairs? Maybe. Did Trump ever boast about his net worth? Possibly. Did Trump ever boast about his polls? Yes. Did Trump like Obama? No. Did Trump brag about his grades in school? Yes. Did Trump try to get out of going to Vietnam War? Yes. Did Trump pay hush money to a blackmailer weeks before the election? Yes. Was Trump saddened by rundown communities that African Americans have to live in? Yes. Were all of Trump’s side business practices on the up and up? Probably not.
BUT, did Trump ever destroy evidence that was subpoenaed? No. Did Trump ever erase thousands of emails or crush his cell phones? No. Did Trump pay anyone to write a false dossier about an opponent? No. Did Trump collude with Russia and the FBI to win the election? No. Was Trump involved with Wikileaks? No. Has Trump done anything illegal since taking office? No. Did Trump ask Cohen to lie to congress? No. Is Trump a racist, con, and a cheat? No, Cohen was apparently projecting or Shiff et al wrote that for him.
Is Cohen trying to be a martyr? Yes. Is Cohen a tax cheat? Yes. Is Cohen a hypocrite? Yes. Were Cohen’s closing remarks written by Clinton hack Davis? Yes. Were his opening and closing arguments filled with political red meat? Yes. Was Cohen used by the Democrats like Shiff to take down Trump? Yessiree! Is Cohen planning to write a book or a movie after or before he goes to jail? Yes, yes, yes!
Some remarkable statements by Cohen were that Trump never intended to win. That he was trying to build his brand. Huge lie! So Trump spent 20 million dollars and two years out of his life just to build his brand? Cohen was just repeating the Democratic talking points which are stupid. Cohen also said that he never wanted a job in Trump’s cabinet. Bigger lie!
When Trump said facetiously at a rally that “ya gotta love wikileaks,” it was after the wikileak dump about Hillary despite what Cohen testified. Then Trump jokingly said, “if you have those missing emails Russia, turn them over to a reporter and make a reporter really happy.” Her server was already shut down when he made that flippant remark. But the left always fails to report that. You can’t hack emails from a computer that is shut down. The media and Dems repeatedly say that Trump asked Russia to hack her computer. BIG LIE! They must think we’re stupid.
This untimely political attack on Trump today, while he was overseas trying to make peace, was nothing more than a sham in order to get public endorsement for impeachment. This committee should be ashamed of themselves, but they never are. The only thing I learned today was, Trump is not an angel. I just hope the general public didn’t lose faith in Trump after this hearing.
